About Robert

Robert began his decorating career in the mid 1970's at a pet shop where one of his duties was aquarium maintenance and installations.

One day Steven Roth of R.S.L Films came into the shop and hired Robert to install a large Oscar tank in his office. Shortly after, Robert was hired to set up a large Oscar tank for Robert Mitchum's office set in the film 'Agency' (the opening credits roll over the tank).

Robert also freelanced as a visual display artist and had several clients including LA Express, Suzy Shier, and Van Houtte Coffee.

1984 Robert moved to the Bahamas and acquired his Yoga Instructor's Certificate at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat on Paradise Island.

He spent close to two years living at the ashram before his wanderlust began to set in....

From there he moved to Los Angeles where he became an Art Director for Disney Educational Studios working on three educational videos and he was involved in the stage productions "Polo Lounge" and "Coyote Ugly" as a set decorator and property master. Robert also began to design masks and costumes and within a couple of months had 6 stores carrying his product line.

Robert developed the reputation for being able to work "display magic" regardless of the event's budget: From the basic to the most elaborate, from the design stage right to completion, all his work is done in a timely and professional manner.

In 2003, Robert's love of Halloween was awarded "Best in BC" by CTV for a 7,000 sq.. Haunted Labyrinth he designed in collaboration with Potter's House of Horrors.
