Character Actor

Adding Character to Your Next Event, Film or Television Show!

Whatever the production, Robert’s characters are designed to contribute atmosphere as well as provide unique and memorable experiences.

Robert can create a character whether it be historically accurate like his Gassy Jack or seasonal characters like his Jack Frost.

Robert’s characters can be adult oriented with a more “risque” and mature sense of humor or family friendly for children’s theme events or shows.

Robert’s creative character design and strong improvisational skills make his characters ideally suited for roaming, meet & greet, photo op’s, and interactive displays at your next event.

From corporate incentive meetings, association conferences, industry conventions, trade shows, community events, parades, festivals, or as Background and Tertiary Characters for Film and Television, call on Robert to find out how he can add impact, visibility, and entertainment value to your next production.

As an example, Robert was hired to design, fabricated, and perform a Canada Day character for the City of Surrey's Canada Celebrations. Robert created the "EH!" Mascot.

While Robert has been primarily performing event characters for the past 15 years, during the 1980's and 1990's he performed regularly on stages around the world. Here are a few photos of Robert on stage over the years...

Robert's characters are designed for interior events or fine weather exterior conditions and are ideally suited for roaming "Meet & Greet" and photo ops.  He can also custom design characters specific to the event.

Character event booking rates are scalable depending on the event and complexity of the character requirements but range between $75 to $150 per hour with a two hour minimum.  However, Robert is willing to work with all reasonable budgets and is open for discussion.

About Robert Barton

“Just as important was the persona that you created and your excellent rapport with the audience, I would venture to say that not a single person there left without a photograph taken of you. You were certainly the hit of the evening.”
